Hi, my name is Sati Heer-Stavert. I’m a doctor working in the UK with an interest in philosophy and its relevance to health care.
Unexamined Medicine provides me with an opportunity to experiment with ideas and clarify my own thoughts. Another objective of this site is to stimulate discussion and reflection. One way of doing this is to highlight material which may be considered provocative. Posting an item does not mean that I agree with it. However, I do agree that it should be read, dissected and debated.
I hope that other health care workers might find the site useful in their own learning or teaching.
Of course, all my opinions on this site are not affiliated to my current or previous places of work. Please consider sharing your own opinions in the comments sections available on each post.
